Laser /SLAM navigation: This AGV generally adopts laser or SLAM navigation technology, which has higher positioning accuracy (millimeter level) compared with magnetic stripe or pure visual navigation, and can adapt to dynamic environment to ensure accurate docking of goods in high-rise shelves.
Obstacle avoidance ability: support automatic obstacle avoidance, and improve handling safety in complex storage environment.
2. Structural design adapts to narrow space.
Compact fuselage: drum-type AGV has no external fork or jack-up structure, and its width can be controlled below 0.8m, which is suitable for narrow passages (generally, the passage width is required to be ≤1.5m).
Flexible steering: Laser /SLAM navigation supports multi-path planning, enabling flexible turning and accurate parking in a limited space.
3. Attention should be paid to the adaptability of high-rise shelves
Limitation of lifting function: the standard drum AGV does not have lifting ability, and only supports the same plane cargo transmission. If high-rise shelves need to be docked, the following conditions shall be met:
Cooperate with lifting cargo platform or conveying line to realize the connection between shelves of different heights;
The shelf is designed as a roller conveying interface, so that AGV can directly dock the shelf deck.
Maximum working height: depending on the supporting equipment, the AGV body cannot directly lift the goods to the high floor.
